Stragen accepts briefs in all aspects of Family and De Facto relationships law.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Stragen practiced as a solicitor advocate in private practice as well as being a senior solicitor with the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services.

Stragen was admitted in August 2007 and started as a solicitor advocate in a small suburban firm in Sunshine in March 2008. In October 2010, Stragen commenced as a family lawyer at Moores and started as a senior solicitor in the Department in March 2015.

In private practice, Stragen acted for clients in all aspects of Family Law and had a particular passion and interest in relocation cases as well as complex property settlements. Fluent in mandarin, Stragen assisted clients with a variety of complex parenting and property settlements.

While working for the Department of Health and Human Services, Stragen acted for the Department in many cross jurisdictional cases involving Child Protection and Family Law and also appeared for the Department before the Full Court of the Family Court of Australia in the case of Prantage & Prantage [2015] FamCAFC 145.

More significantly, Stragen acted for the Department in unprecedented property proceedings in the Federal Circuit Court in an application for financial orders to benefit children in the Department's care.
