Kylie accepts briefs in all areas of summary crime matters, including contested committals, contested hearings, bail applications, pleas and all types of mention hearings. She also appears in appeals against sentence and conviction. Kylie appears in Melbourne and regional Magistrates' Court, County Court, Children's Court and Koori Court. Kylie has a particular interest in representing Indigenous Australians in these jurisdictions.
Kylie has significant experience in all aspects of intervention orders, from first mention to final contest. She represents both Applicants and Respondents.
Kylie is experienced in all stages of child protection matters, from first mention to conciliation conference to final contest. She accepts briefs from parents, children or DHHS.
Kylie graduated with first class honours in law from Victoria University. She has lectured and tutored in Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Evidence Law at VU, ACU and Deakin University.
