Melanie Albarella
Melanie has a general practice, particularly in commercial law and crime.
Melanie has broad experience as a solicitor working in both private and public practice.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Melanie was a solicitor at the Office of Public Prosecutions working in both proceeds of crime and criminal prosecutions. Previously, she was the senior associate to the Honourable Justice Robson at the Supreme Court of Victoria. As an associate, Melanie assisted His Honour in a wide range of complex proceedings in the Commercial Court and provided support in urgent injunction applications.
Melanie has also worked as an advisor in government, an in-house corporate lawyer and as a commercial litigator in a law firm.
Melanie holds a Master of Laws, Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting. She is also a sessional lecturer and tutor at RMIT University, teaching various subjects in the Associate Degree of Legal Practice program.
